I recently purchased and installed a chimney roof. There was fumes being blown back down the chimney when the furnace was running. This has helped dramatically to stop the fumes smell.

Now to my question, seeing that the chimney roof is metal should I be concerned about lightning strikes to the house now? I live in the country and only have a few trees around my house so I'm pretty much in the open. Any help in this matter would be appriciated.

Thanks,

RJM

I know of no one getting hit. From the ones we have put up. Also there are you sure your damper in the firplace is not warped ,dont close tight like it should. might look at it. Find a lot that dont close all the way.
