Why aren't commercial toilets available for home use? I was told because home pressure is 60-80 psi and commercial toilets (kick the lever and a spring-diaphragm unit flushes for a few seconds) require higher pressure, and that commercial water supplies are around 150 psi? True or bs?
I also wonder why drybowl toilets like those used in Germany are not available in the U.S.....

Commercial toilets have the same pressure as residential. More volume though. Ever looks at one of those Sloan Valves on a toilet or urinal in a store? 1" supply line. I don't know about the drybowl, toilets but I am sure someone here will.

You would need larger suppy coming into your house to make it work directly but if money is no problem you can install a water storage tank and a pressure pump along with larger water line directly to that toilet. But is it really worth it? I have seen them in homes before but those homes had larger supply lines bringing water into the home because it was also used as business and had larger water usage then most homes.

hmmm that is alot I have seen 90 to 100 psi but that was used in an office building they needed a booster pump to push that water up to the upper floors of the building and over come the weight of the water inself but the water doesn't comes out the faucets at 150 psi. Those toilets work on 50-60 psi probably can vary a bit more.
