Hello all,
First let me say I do not know what I am talking about when it comes to water softeners. Now then, I am questioning the functionality of our water softener. It is a USF Conumer and Commercial softener which is about 4 years old. Our water smells of hardness (sulphur) a little, some times are worse than others for some reason. The water does not feel soft like it should. We had someone from a Waterworks company come out and he flushed the softener with bleach and water. This made it better for about 3 weeks so I think. I have studied the manual on it to try to set the settings on the unit to create softer water. I had our water tested and it looks as if our water's hardness is 5.6725 grains/gal. We have 2 adults and one 3 year old child in the house to gauge the water usage off of. I am wondering if the settings of the unit are wrong but do not know how to figure this out? Any help would be appreciated! :mask:
