I am renovating a 1933 Colonial in MA and have the entire house down to the studs. I have ordered R-30 Batts for the roof/ attc, but fo rthe regular exterior walls, can I only get R-13 b/c I have 2x4 construction? Does it need to be faced? Do I need a vapor barrier? SO many questions!

u can also get r-15 for 2x4 construction as well. most lumber yards will carry it or be able to order it. check out the department of energy website for insulation requirements based on where u live.
