I have a summer home in northern michigan and am having a lot of trouble with visible iron in my water. The hardness is 3.5. The water also has an oder to it. I now have a sears water softener but it does no good. I am thinking of putting in a macclean utso800 water softener and a nuif 1001 iron filter. Has anyone had any experience with these products and is their a better alternitive.
