I am installing marble tiles over an existing brick fireplace surround and on the cement hearth. I would like to keep the grout lines small, but am not sure what kind if grout to use. Do I need a particular grout that is heat resistant or do I use regular grout as with kitchens and bathroom floors?
Also, I am having a wood insert installed with a blower and would like to keep the electrical cord concealed. Can I have an electrical outlet installed in the existing brick fireplace a few inches from the insert? If so, do I need a particular outlet that is heat resistant?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
