I been looking at these online and I thought I ask. Long time lurker, first time poster. Whats the pros and cons of automactic faucets? Sounds like an awesome idea.

What if you want to fill your sink?
You would have to stand there waving your hands underneath.
We have those at work and if you want to fill a cup or something with water,
you have to wave your hand around the sensor. Coffee mugs don't activate it
for some reason.
Would be a nice gimmick for a new remodel, but I suspect it would get old pretty quickly.

When you get into commercial work you will even find sensored hand soap dispensors. Sloan valve make a whole line of sensored faucets and even toilet valves for those of us too lazy to flush.
Never really thought about them in home usage because you can not adjust the water temp. No handles to turn on or off...

They are a good idea except for the temp. You would have to stand there until the hot water reached the tap. They would be a great idea if they had an manual over ride on them that allowed you to manually run either hot or cold water.
