I just had my water tested and have 1ppm of iron and 65mg/l hardness. I have a 32k capacity system and I was looking at using a lower salt setting to maximize my salt use.

I've read that if you have iron in the water, you should't use the lower salt setting. As it doesn't fully regenerate the resin bed (with the lower setting), eventually the bed will become saturated with iron and lose its'' effectiveness.

Appreciate your input on this subject.

Thanks

Loren
