Just embarking on the replacement window journey..
hit the home show looking at vinyl replacement windows for our 40 year old house and our firs in home estimate left us with sticker shock- 40K! :wall:
3000 foot view house with 2575 unified inches of window including 2 big sliding doors, and 3 big main floor windows (5X7's and a 5X9). The first estimate was with uniframe windows, how does Milgaurd compare?
I want at least double pane and low E, but the rest are pretty straight foreward, couple of sliders and fixed windows (16 total)
How do the manufacturers compare and who do I avoid like the plauge.
I live north of Seattle if that makes any difference.
thanks

If you're interested in vinyl windows, you might check out www.tlwindows.com I know they have dealers in WA. (in fact one of their factories is in Washington.) I've worked with them for years... also not cheap, but they're high quality and have reputable dealers and installers.
