Hi all,
i am currently building a house, and i am trying to do things myself as much as possible. i just found this forum and registered today!
I have a question regarding the insulation. some say it is easy to do it yourself, while others say it is hard. as for me, i consider myself quite handy, although i have no experience in any steps involved in house building, including insulation installation. Now that i am trying to decide whether i should do it myself or hire a contractor, i would really appreciate any kind of suggestions/advices. i would also appreciate if anyone knows any contractor who can provide service in centre county, PA, and who is very competitive in terms of the price. (i would welcome any private messages or emails for this.)
p.s. i hear that typically, garage walls are not insulated unless it is heated. even if it is not heated, i guess it will be a little warmed inside the garage than outside. then, isn't it still better to have the garage insulated even though it is not heated?

Insulating new construction is not ''difficult'', more time consuming than a lot
of the phases of constuction. If you are handy and have time and good
information, I would suggest ''go for it''.
Except the garage walls that are common to the house, most people don't
insulate garages. It would be a good idea to do them all, if you plan to
finish all walls of the garage.
I think you should be able to find all the basic insul. know-how you should
need on this forum. Good luck
