A very elementary question!
How does one calculate how many rolls of wallpaper to buy when you are using 2 different wallpapers in a room (one over the border and the other below) taking into account that the pattern is repeated every 12 inches?

Single rolls of paper are 28 sq.feet.A double roll is 56 sq.feet regardless of width(21 or 27 inches).A 21 inch roll is 33 ft. long.A 27 inch roll is 28 ft. long.A good thing to is to count how many full sheets go in a room and see how many double rolls it will take to get them. From there see how many sheets and how long the smaller stuff is.Add these together and add to the doubles above and you should have a good measure. There is always the length times height method.Example:10ft*8ft=80ft/28sq.ft.=2.8 or 3single rolls. The thought here is the waste will come from the doors and windows.
