View Full Version : Removing Paper "veneer" from trim?

We are remodeling and in the interest of preserving our marriage we are working on opposite sides of the house :)

Anyway, I am working on a bathroom. The trim, and the door frame is wood, but with the wood grained paper stuck to it. I am hoping that I don't have to replace it all, including the door frame. Anyone know if there is a way to remove the paper so that the wood beneath can be primed to paint and the end result will look ok?

Whenever I ask my husband for advice I get a sigh, a "you silly girl" shaking of the head, and then a response that is little more than a series of grunts and clicks, the language of men....

Thanks.

Plant, your questions are welcome with open arms, but please leave the personal situations with men off this site.

Thanks

Hi
you can try to peel it of and used rubbing alcool to soften the glue
or used a heat gun to heat the tape.
If you have no heat gun used a hair dryer and set it at hot.
