Question on Go Cart Engines

hey hey. I have a quick question about go cart motors....

I have a 4 stroke engine that i am going to use for building my gocart, and i was wondering what would happen to the engine in the gocart rolled over or flipped...

This is always hard to determine until it happens. Will it roll over into a river ?? will it roll over and slam the engine into a rock ?? Lets hope none of the above happens tho. If the engine is turned upside down oil runs up into the combustion chamber and when restarted it will smoke for a period of time. Be safe and wear a helmet. :coffee:

Also, the air filter will likely get coated with both gas and oil. Gas for the obvious reason and oil by way of the breather tube - which likely vents into the air cleaner chamber. You will then have a rich running engine and likely foul a plug. As far as any sustained damage to the engine from rolling over - no!
