Hi,
We have a very old Culligan 515c, fitted in May 1984. It still works well, in fact too well! We were a family of five back in '84, now there are just the two of us. So we need to adjust the softener, as it runs every night & is costing us a lot in salt. The dial for frequency of recharge is a clock-like dial face under a cover, & the salt dosage setting is a plastic screw head on top of the unit. Which would it be best to adjust, & how?
Thanks.

You need to look for the regeneration schedule, pins pushed/pulled in or out on numbers like 1-6 or 7 or 12, and change them to say every 6 days and see if you still have soft water by the day it regenerates.
