Base Board/chair Rail

Can anyone tell me how to attach wood baseboard and chair rails to walls with metal studs and sheetrock, glue, metal screws, both? :coffee:

You could use a trim screw that has a small head with metal cutting threads to hold the trim to the wall at the studs. Alternatively, you could glue and tack it in place with the trim screws. Once I experimented with glue and a 15 gage nailer to tack the trim in place. It worked, and the nail head is smaller than the head of the trim screw.

i did some and used silicone to mount them to the wall and used masking tape to hold it in place while silicone cures.
