HELP!-Kenmore Side-by-side Freezer Defrosted

Our 2000 Kenmore side-by-side M/N 59502993 had a relay? that was coming on every few minutes last night. This morning the freezer has defrosted and most of the ice in the icemaker melted and leaked onto the floor. The pan underneath is dry.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
