Westinghouse clothes waher won't drain - new pump?

My 10 yr old White-Westinghouse Model LA450A clothes washer stopped draining with about 8-10" of water. it has an "Automatic Clean Filter". i've checked out all the hoses & can't seem to find any blockage - do i need a new pump? is it worth all the trouble or should i buy a new washer? :cheshire: :cheshire:

Hi netdigs, and welcome to DIY Forums.
- your problem is most likely with the pump, which is on top of the motor, and costs around $45. I would attempt it even if I didn't know this machine. If you get stuck you can always call us for help. :cool:
