I was wondering if anyone had any feedback or recomendations on any professional waterproofing systems. I have had a few estimate that range anywher from $750 to $12000. I know we have a problem that needs to be fixed, I just don't know who to listen to. Thanks.

If you ''know you have a problem'', I doubt that the $750. solution will work.

The most reliable type systems are known generically as de-watering

systems. These are similar to a B-dry system, and depending on the size

of the basement and who installs them, they typically range from $4k to

$10k. Try to work with someone referred to you by someone you know.

There are lots of con artists posing as basement waterproofing contractors

in this area, probably in your part of the country too.

Actually the cheapest system was the BDry system, it was a more localized solution where the water is actually coming in. The most expensive one was the Everdry system which did both inside and outside drainage systems and air purification. If anyone knows a good contractor for this let me know, please. I'm in Michigan. Any thoughts on the BDry system or the Everdry system? Or any other systems I should check out? Thanks

I recently had a sysytem put in my basement that is known as a perimeter drain. I had severe water problems resembling a trout stream each time it rained. The system I put in gives the water a path to the sump without going over or uder the floor. Seems to work so far, you can contact me and I will give you the company's name but is prohibited here.
