My dining room table now has a not-too-deep scratch in the polyurethane finish. What can I do?

To remove the scratch, you could clean the surface with mineral spirits or spic and span, then degloss the surface with a green scotchbrite pad, and appy a fresh coat of polyurethane to the entire surface. Polyurethane does not do well with spot repairs.

You may be able to hide the scratch with a coat of Johnson's Paste wax.

Hope this helps.
