my class is doing a electronics project. This is probly one of the most expensive ones we have done. we have only came up with a few ideas on how to make the hybrid work. I am just looking around for any input on how to do this. we were lookin to put an alternater in so that way we can power up the deep cycle batteries. we want to take and split the rear axel in half and make it so one side runs on just gas and the other on just electric. we would also like to put a speedometer on there. We were also planning on placing circuts on there so when the power cells are full the gas engine shuts off and the electric takes over and when the electric is low it pops back on to recharge the bateries. The only issue we see is getting an electric start instead of a pully start motor so we can start it by key instead of a pully action system. again any help here is welcome by anyone here. also I personally would like to have some gears on it on a chain system. I think maybe a bike sproket may handle that but i dont know.

may i ask why? Because apperently no one was born knowing everything like you were and these kids are learning...anyway....
I just spent the last 15 minutes explain a system to you but the forum timed me out and loged me off... sorry. thank the admin. On a short note put an electronic clutch on the axle and belt drive it to the crankshaft. engage it when you want the motor running. Your electric drive motor is the starter. ;)
