It's good my husband is at work now so I will have time to cool off before I see him again.HE didn't want to take the time to take off the old wallpaper because it was adhering very well. So ok I paint over it. Now however the tiny green lines on the wallpaper show through one coat of yellow, one of white AND kilz total one.So I decide to paint the walls green, that should take care of that right? Wrong. The one wall I didn't use Kilz on has dried the other 3 are still wet after 3 hours.I left the kilz dry all day even though the can said 1 hour repaint is okay. All the paint used was satin latex. The walls were painted days before I tried the green paint so that's not the problem. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong? I guess it doesn't matter. Tommorrow when I go back I guess I'll just have to wipe off the wet paint, score the walls and remove the wallpaper. Thanks.Darjus

Darjus:

I went to the KILZ website and found this info on the drying time of KILZ TOTAL ONE, which is the product you used:

Dry Time: Kilz Total One will dry to touch in 30 minutes and can be recoated in one hour. Application in lower temperatures, in high humidity or with poor ventilation can significantly increase dry and recoat times. Some stains may not be totally sealed under these conditions. See stainblocking sections for more information.

Do any of the situations described above pertain to your perticular circumstances, ie: low temperatures, high humidity, poor ventilation. Can you say "I got that" to any of these? That's what's causing your KILZ TOTAL ONE to take so long to dry.
