Looking to buy a home,sellar has owned 5 yrs.He says i cant drink the water because of high arsenic level.It was an old camp,he rebuilt,all new everything,real nice!What can i do about the well? Thanks for any good tips,the place is in N.Anson Maine,close to Carrabassett River

You need to know how much and what kind of arsenic and then look into water treament equipment to remove it. There's 2-3 types of media that can be used but I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject.

And dont forget that your animals cannot drink the water either... so if you have livestock or even dogs and cats...
Another thing... are deer safe to eat or meat you buy that drink from that local area? I am not sure but that is an answer I would want to know before I purchased if I planned on using local food. Would you have to rinse your veggies and fruit in treated water too? Or would that not be necessary? Just food for thought.
