Hello Everyone -

I would like to run this past you guys, and will post a photo if it's helpful

I have a Payne CAV395 - about five years old. Last week it was blowing cold air, so I called a service guy in. He came in, told me that the mother board on the unit appeared scored - and it needed to be replaced - I said ok. He changed the board out, said the unit was working properly, and I paid him $500.

Now the unit lights, blower comes on, the warm just starts to warm up, and then shuts down! :wall:

Can anyone give me some advice on a.) if this is probably just some simple adjustment that needs to be done, b.) if this is something I can do and c.) if this is something that should have been set prior to his departure (if adjusting the heat/shutoff sensor (for lack of a better term) would have been considered part of the replacement, normally).

Thanks,
Jim

If this was just done last week, call him back.. Tell him the system is still not working right.

I agree with Jay. Don't attempt any adjustments that may be construed as messing up what your dealer did.
