We purchased a beautiful bungalow home that was built in 1910 with all its original woodwork. We are in the process of restoring. On the second floor, there are two bedrooms and a sitting room. All three rooms have wood floors (some buckling) What is the best way to go about getting these floors level again. We are pretty sure that the original problem starting with a leaking roof along with no one occupying that area for quite some time. Roof repairs have been done, but the floors are quite uneven. Feels like you are walking up hill and down hill in one of them. Also, in the sitting room up there, the water had leaked through down to the living room ceiling and caused that to sag. We know we are going to have to pull down the ceiling woodwork and redrywall that area.
