Doors and Windows - Metal door frame

I am building a room in my basement that will be a little more secure for some of my stuff. The door and door frame I got are both metal that are used in commercial buildings(both are fire rated) The frame is made for a 2 x 4 wall with 1/2" sheetrock on both sides. My question is I dont know the proper way to frame the opening for the door frame. there are pockets inside the frame for the hinges and the lockset. Do I just notch around these? There is one screw on each side of the frame that has a bracket to hold the frame in. Does this bracket go thru the 2 x 4 then get screwed to the frame? The frame is made by Curries company, it comes in 3 pieces and snaps together and can be screwed together at the top.

Been there, looked, and they dont show what I need. All they give is the dims. for the frames not the wall that it attaches too.

There should also come with this frame two additional brackets which mount at the base of the jamb legs. The stiff part goes inside the jamb and the two ears, with holes in them, fold to form a "U" and fit around the bottom plate and are secured there with screws.

As I recall, we usually use welded, timely or Western Integrated, the rough opening width is 39" for a 36" door and 82" in height.

You set the door frame in the rough framing PRIOR TO DRYWALL and plumb using the screwdriver adjustable brackets at the top of the jamb legs.

The drywall will fit behind the frame all around.

1. The manufacturer's instructions
2. or ANSI/DHI A115-IG "Installation Guide for Doors and Hardware"
3. or HMMA840-99 "Installation and Storage of Metal Doors and Frames.

Thanks alot guys, that link really helped. The frame that I have evidently goes up after the drywall, it has screw holes on the outside of the frame at the bottom and a bracket at the top on each side I figured out was for pressing against the 2 x 4 frame instead of pulling against it to plumb it square.
