I have a late 80s Carrier two-stage furnace that runs on and off throughout the day. I noticed that when it didn't run there were blinking lights that blinked in a pattern. I figured out the pattern based on the back of the furnace access panel.

The fault code that blinked was "Inducer outside valid speed range." Can someone help me to understand what that means. From what I have determined, it is referring to the motor that controls the two-stage process. I believe that it must not be getting up to the right speed for the furnace to recognize that it is running.

Thanks
Sven

These are pretty complex. It would be best to get a dealer in on this. There are alot of possiblity, and also I think the motor is varible speed as well.
