Hi. Have the above-mentioned furnace in the attic. Horizontal version. Installed in 1993/1994. Begining this afternoon, the burners have stopped igniting. The draft motor spins up, I hear the ignitor relay click but I see no glow from the hot surface ignitor(s). After a few seconds the gas valve clicks open but obviously there is no flame so it shuts down moments later.
Does this sound like a bad ignitor? Out of curiousity, how many ignitors are there on this model? I seem to recall my parents had a Weathermaker 8000 in their old house and it had at 2 ignitors but only one ignitor is visible on mine.
Thanks.

You should have one ignitor, and sounds like it needs to be replaced.
