How to make box over duct and pipes

Hi all,

I am finishing the basement and just most of the walls are framed .Now remains is the wall with the pipe in the top of it .So i just wanted to know how I can make the box to cover pipe so then it will be less loss of the space in wall.Can anybody send the picture of box frame over the wall ?
How can i atach it to joists ?

Also ,there is big duct going in the middle of basement .I am thinking to have drop down celing .SO do I need to make box over it also and cover it with drywall or I can just cover it with drop tiles?Will the Drop ceiling reduce the height of basement with many inches?

I like to put the drop ceiling about 2" to 3" down so you can work the tile in ok. On the duct have did them first and like slid the tile into the T bar. That way only lost 1" in height.
