Green screen on Zenith model SM2787BT; MAN. DEC 1994

I was told once that this was a picture tube problem, but the cost is too much for the machine.
Had the colour cards adjusted last year to show better, but it is degrading , and if I put a dvd in thru the S-Vid, it almost looks b/w.
I've adjusted as much as I can in the menus, and the tv works great for all things, but green is good for frogs not tv screens.
Any help on how to proceed will be greatly appreciated by my 3 boys, and I.
