Hi,
I have a basic L shaped kitchen but there is a corner unit on the inside corner that results in a 45 degree corner.
I am attempting to hang crown moulding but am not sure how to approach the task at the corner. It seems that the face of the 45 gets straight 90 degree cuts and the adjacent laft and right pieces should be coped, but I can not seem to figure out a position that gets the pieces to match.
Any experts have a suggestion?
Thanks!
Jay

Perhaps the link to this chart and web site will help you.

I believe you will want to use a 23.2 bevel and 19.6 miter angle.
For a coped inside corner:
Left-hand piece = Top edge against fence
Right-hand piece = Bottom edge against fence

But if you are using 45/45 spring angle crown, and are cutting it in position, use this chart: http://www.altereagle.com/Crown_molding/IMAG013A.JPG
20.7 Bevel & 22.2 miter.
20.7 Bevel & 22.2 miter.

If the corner of the wall meets in a 45 degree angle >, I would cut a deadend at 45 degree bevel, 90 degree miter and place it. Cut the mating piece at 22.5 degrees and cope it to fit. Making acute angles work can be challenging.

Thanks Guys,
After I set it at 22.5/90 and tried with some scrap I said.....Duh! how could it have looked so perplexing last night?!?
I ended up using a 22.0/90 on one and a 22.5/90 on the other.
Thanks for being so helpful!
