Both the Pergo Select and the Quickstep Elegance seem to be in my budget. Do any of you pros out there have a suggestion on which one is the better material or is there something else out there that should also look at. Thanks in advance for the input.

Both prodcuts carry a wide range of prodcuts, from low budget (quality not so good) to higher priced floors. I have installed lots of both and would have to say they are similar products. Pergo makes a floor that is callled Pergo-Select which is nice. Also quick steps Perspective flooring is nice. You will read this advice over and over again "don't buy a cheap laminate floor". You will be throwing your money away. Instead, just save up a little longer for a much nicer floor.

Of those 2 choices, the PERGO Select is a better floor.

Pergo Select IS a better floor.
I love Quickstep's manufacturing, but Select is top quality.

If you care about looks........Quick Steps Elegance 800 product looks 100% better than any Pergo Product........Pergo may be a good floor but it definitely looks like laminate...including the Select........Vintage is better looking but has problems scratching
