just bough a little steel trailer i want to sand it and paint by hand ( no pnoumatics ) what do i do to sand it (does all the paint need to come off) and what kind of roll on or spray paints/primer do i use?

I would scrape an sand all loose paint and rust, remove any oil or grease with TSP(at the paint store) go to a pro paint store and get a rust inhibiting primer, and an oil based industrial or steel structural paint. Pin rollers are good to use on trailors, just ask for there small pin rollers. And dont forget a small brush to cut-in with, and paint thinner to clean up.
