HELP! I think I wrecked my Parquet Floor
I used a chemical stripper on my parquet floor, then I sanded it with the sander the Home Depot people recommended and then I used oil based polyurethaned to finish it. It looks like I ruined the adhesive of the tiles to the subfloor and the tiles themselves. There is some type of substance coming through the cracks in the tiles themselves and between the tiles. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jeff

You chemical stripper, might be effecting the adhesive??
It could also be effecting the joints, from seepage.
If the tiles are loose, sanding can losen them even more, from the heat sanding produces. You better know what your doing with parquet or wood floors where the grain is not all the same.
You didn't say how much did you saved, by doing it yourself?

Actually, I have no idea how much money I saved.
What I was really looking for was any ideas you might have to fix the problem. Can I reglue the tiles? Should I just do nothing and hope for the best? Finishing nails in the loose tiles?
Thanks.

Those are possibilities. I'd have to see it personally, to give you a definitive answer.
Try it, what do you have to loose? It may work, and may just be a band-aid.
