Only dealers have access to the DLS software. Plus, it's extremely difficult to get working - it's very touchy to the type of modem used and the baud rates, etc. You can purchase DSC's modem for about $150 online, and possibly get lucky with the software. But, you're probably going to be much better off just programming from the keypad - spend the money on an LCD alphanumeric display.

Your comments were very helpful! I was thinking about hammering in the commands at the keypad in leu of purchasing the software and hardware. You made it easy for me to decide to use the keypad. Saving programing strings in a word processor makes configuring the alarm easier and probably takes the same amount of time as setting up and using a computer.
