Hi!
We visited a local flooring store to look at the flooring samples they had there even though we new we were buying it on the net. Anyway, the guy in the store was telling us about this "superior" underlayment called Invicible Gold Pad. Well, I have since forgotten all the specifics of it and I can't find any info on it on the web. Does anyone know anything about it?? What kind of underlayment would you all suggest? Did you go with what came with the product you selected? Some background info: We are looking to put Pergo Vintage Home in our kitchen and great room. We have 1 dog and 3 kids.
TIA!

It's called "the upsale"
Sometimes they unknowingly void warranties with "the upsale"

Sounds like a CarpetOne thing. It could just mean a fancy term for an upgraded pad. you never can go wrong with an upgraded pad if you know what you are buying.
the net may not save you time and effort FYI.
Plus the names will be changed to protect the innocent. so you will never be able to shop apples to apples.

oops, I thought I was in the carpet section :)
the gold pad is probably for sound barrier. if it's a CarpetOne or flooring America, then your warranties will be fine because they sold it to you together as a package. you will not find this exact pad online, but there are similiar pads.
