We are currently renovating our attic to be used as a play room. The space is 20 x 20. Which would be more efficient, using baseboard heating or an electric wall unit heater?

Not sure what you want to do here are have Do you mean baseboard electric heaters over the electric wall heaters? If so for sure go with the baseboard heaters on the outside walls. What do you have in the home cant you tie on to it. what about summer and AC for up there.??? You have a lot of ifs .

We have forced hot air in the rest of the house. We thought that it would be easier to just do electric upstairs rather than tie into the existing heating system. So...we are trying to decide between electric baseboard and an electric wall unit. Two of the outside walls are dormered and there will be window seats there, so no room for baseboard heat. The other 2 walls have no windows and will have funiture up against them. Just wasn't sure how the baseboards would work with no real space for them. Are the wall units that much less efficient?
Thanks for your help!

How about a Packaged Terminal Heat Pump. These units are like those found in a lot of motel rooms. Another option would be a "mini-split" or ductless heat pump. Both can be equipped with supplemental electric heat if needed, would be cheaper to operate than straight electric resistance heat, & would provide summer cooling.
