Hi,
I own 4 rental units, and Iam pretty handy.I would like to do as many of the repairs myself as possible.
I have found appliance repairs, common and expensive to get a service call!
How do I get started fixing problems with electric ranges, refridge problems,etc...
There must be some repairs or checks I can do myself? What tools do I need,
And how can I determine if its something I can repair myself? Thanks

hi cschroth1,
- most of the tools you need are the common ones all we handi-people carry around. (too many to list here !) As for info, go online and see how many 'appliance' books you can get. There are a few generic ones, such as 'How to fix household washing machines' by 'Fix it yourself' press. also some by Time-Life and Black and Decker.
The main thing you need is an instinct to follow the 'fault line' . You can't buy that, you're born with it, or you go to school to get something similar.
Do it Right - Do it once.
