I'm remodeling the kitchen, and found some bamboo 6" planks in the color I love. Have you installed bamboo? How does it look in real-life applications? How durable is it? Can it be refinished like hardwoods? How does it look next to hardwood? The rest of the downstairs is a natural stained white oak which I'm okay with, but not wild about. I really like the wide planks. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks!

Has a very formal contemporary look.

Most can be refinished.

You'll just have to lay some boards next to your existing hardwood and make your decision from there.

With wide 6", your going to need to glue and fasten the planks down.

Wider planks are prone to cupping, so glue is recommended to keep things as flat as possible.
