I have a 1999 Kenmore dishwasher.
M/N 665.16817990
Symptom : The dishwasher does not drain at the end of the wash or rinse cycle. It will go through a complete cycle. If I push the cancel / drain pad while in operation, it cancels the cycle but still will not drain. Here is the kicker. If I leave the dishwasher undisturbed for at least 30 minutes, sometimes an hour after completing a cycle then the cancel/ drain pad will work and the water will drain completely.
I have checked the drain line. I have checked under the lower arm for clogs, etc.
The dishwasher has sensors for detecting soil on the dishes and for determining water temp. I mention this because they may be suspect, I just cannot find them to test.
