I want to install small 'mini puck' sized under cabinet lights in my kitchen. I'd like to run it off a standard light switch. Everything I see has a transformer and a plug. Can you recommend a supplier or product?

my nearly identical post (I didn't "search" first) garnered the following leads (albeit on another forum; so far nothing from this one):

everyone seems to recommend xenon over halogen, due to heat, etc.

...well don't be shy: share the details! I'm in the same boat, looking to replace florescent tube fixtures (hard wired to a wall switch) with something more modern, like halogen pucks. Posters have said that the heat will cook the bottom of the cabinet, and recommend xenon. What did you use, and how do you like it?
