My Jenn-Air electric range (model CVE 4180W, last built in the mid-90s) does not work. Oddly, it has stopped twice after cleaning. The first time, it started working again for no apparent reason. The second time, I checked the house circuit breakers, removed the heating coils and plugged them back in snugly, and one coil worked for ten minutes, then quit again. The range's "on" lights work normally. There is no fuse or circuit breaker or reset button on the unit, as a kindly Jenn-Air confirmed when I called the company to order a copy of the manual, which has not yet arrived. (No manual for this model is available on line.) What might cause this problem, and how might I tackle it?
