i am lookin to replace an existing carpet on a concrete slab. this floor is always cold.
1) is the carpet and foaf installed directly to the slab?
2) is there anything i can do for a warmer floor w/o radiant heanting...thicker foam...special type of foam...special carpet?

Felt cushion and a thick high density carpet.
Or you could put a subfloor in like the DriCore system.
