I want to install a floating cork floor. Natural Cork (that is the name of the company and they have a website) makes both square tiles that have to be glued down, and also 12 x 36 x 1/2 inch [laminate] T&G planks that can be installed in a floating configuration. Anybody know about cork floors (especially floating one) in general and about this company in particular? I.e. good idea, what to watch out for etc?

I have installed only 1 cork floor and never again (ceres). It does go together ok, but dents much too easily! All in all it was probably one of the worst looking floors I have installed (just my opinion).

Like mentioned above cork can be very easily dented. I have also seen some extreme fading as well. Many color shades; I would suggest asking your dealer for past clients to visit and look at the finished product for your self. Cork is a nice new sustainable addition to flooring; but should only be used after you have done alot of research and know it is right for your needs and uses.

just find a picture of the library of congress floor.
it's been there for over 100 years.
dents easily, but pops back out in time....
