Is there any kind of paint on the market that looks like stain after it has dried?

Hi demko7@aol.com ,I know of no paint that truly looks like stain.That doesn't mean there are none.Your best bet would be to try your hand at graining.I'm not up on that but have seen it done and often looks very good.If you will show posts from the last 60-90 days there are some that may be helpful.....Mike
