We'd like to make a 'brick wall' in our dining room to match the exposed brick in the adjacent kitchen by installing brick pavers onto drywall. Question 1: will this even work? Question 2: What would we use as adhesive and as grout or 'mortar' between the bricks?

Thank you!!!

I'm sure someone will be along will a good answer for you, but I think weight is going to be something you will have to take into account. Is the dining room on a concrete slab or do you have floor joists underneath it? If not on a slab, I would bet you might run into some problem.

The weight of real brick will be a problem for sure, like the previous posted stated. You need to look at some of the fake brick products available on the market. Here's a link you may find useful. http://www.genstoneproducts.com/

Hope that helps. ;)

Lowe's sells 1/4' thick pavers so they look like bricks but they're a fraction of the weight. We found instructions on how to do this in a home improvement book. Thanks for the replies!
