balcony

My house has a balcony on the 2nd floor. It appears the floor area is a piece
of plywood with cement on top . Is this a spray of cement they put on or is it
even cement cause it sure feels like it. How do they get it on there.

Don't get mad at homebild -- he gave you about the same response I was going to.

Around here, the balconies that you are describing are either a pre-formed concrete slab attached to the floor joists of the house, (the steel joists in the concrete extend about 4' back and are bolted to the floor joists) or they have the house floor joists projected out an additional 4' and the decking put on top of those joists. We can't see exactly what you have. You might have to get a contractor familar with construction in your area to come look at it and tell you what you have.
