Hello,
I have ordered an Aprilaire 600 and will be installing it on a 1992 Lennox Pulse GAS furnace.
I will be mounting the unit on the cold air return side, and will be using copper tubing to supply a hot water line to it.
Now my questions come in on whether to get the A50 relay or NOT? I have heard and read debates going both ways. What exactly does the A50 do that, if I didn't have, the unit wouldn't do normally? SHould I use the A50? If I don't use the A50 how does the wiring hook up to the furnace or power line? Am I correct in thinking that the power supply to the actual humidifier is NOT TO BE 110vac, but rather 24vac?? Does the aprilaire come with a converter, so it can be powered with 110vac, and then it will convert it to 24vac?
Does anyone know exactly where I would need connections to the Pulse furnace, is there a HUM connection on this furnace??
Any info would be most helpful
Thanks
Dan

Go with a A 50 for sure that way its not in the furnace control any way. It goes around the blower wire and will turn on when the blower comes on. That unit should come with a transformer and this is what will turn on from the A50 and give you the 24V power for the valve.
