Has anyone tried to convert their wood-burning stove to pellets? I have a large old Vermont Castings wood stove in a house I recently bought, and I'm wondering about the practicality of converting it to burn pellets. I know this wouldn't be a "real" pellet stove with the auto-feed, blower, and all, but it would be a lot cleaner, I think. There's a company that sells something called "Prometheus" which is pretty much a basket that fits inside the stove and somehow allows the pellets to burn efficiently. http://www.realgoods.com/shop/shop3.cfm/dp/302/ts/1061127
Has anyone tried this or other similar solutions?
Should I just go back to the woodpile with my axe? :)
