Hey guys -
I got a new one -
My contractor has hung acoustical ceiling tees from hanger wires. The hanger wires are attached to 18 gauge corrugated steel decking with screws.
The building inspector says "NO WAY" will he allow anything to be attached to the corrugated steel decking.
I say it's up to the professionals (the architect - that's me, and the engineer) to decide what the deck, screw and wire are capable of holding.
What do you think?

I think you're right that it will hold, but I'd just about bet my next paycheck the bldg inspector gets his way, they have a bad habit of refusing to sign-off on inspection sheets until you make them happy. :wall: Just my .02¢, good luck!
