Removal of tile from a cement floor to retile again (I don't want to put tile over tile)

REnt a chipping hammer with a 4" spade bit, get some goggles, a fine particle mask, and tape off the areas at doors and vents, and have at it. If you have a window available, put a fan in it with the an blowing out. Oh, and ear protection as well.

And some heavy duty gloves to protect you from the sharp edges of the tile when cleaning up. :)
